Once again, the New York City Hot Sauce Expo is presenting the official Hot Sauce Hall of Fame, now in its second year. The Hot Sauce Hall of Fame will induct 5 people that all have been instrumental in the fiery foods industry through the years. The induction ceremony will be presented live on the main stage at the NYC Hot Sauce Expo on April 23 and 24, 2016.
And, you can be a part of this and help select the nominees for this year’s induction. To be eligible to vote as the 2016 Selection Committee, you must have operated within the fiery foods industry for a minimum of 3 years. This Selection Committee determines the Hall of Fame Class each year.
Pick the Nominees
To be eligible for nomination of the actual Hall of Fame, a person must have contributed 15 years within the Hot Sauce, Chile Pepper or Fiery Foods Industries in some shape or form.
Last year’s inductees into the Hot Sauce Hall of Fame were CaJohn Hard, Dave Hirshkop, Dave DeWitt, Edmund McIllhenny and Chip Hearn.
The Selection Committee consist of the various fiery foods companies within the Hot Sauce Industry; retailers, distributors, exporters, promoters, chile pepper growers, media and restaurateurs who specialize in spicy foods and hot sauce.
