Scotty's BBQ Sauce RecipeRecipe time! If you’re looking for a good, sweet, dark, and rich barbecue sauce to slather on your grilled steaks, chops, ribs, and chicken, give this one a try next weekend:

1 (8 oz.) Can Tomato Sauce
1/2 Cup Chopped Onions
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1 Serrano Chile Pepper or Jalapeńo Peppers (Take Your Pick), Finely Diced
1 1/4 Cup Ketchup
2 Tbsp Prepared Yellow Mustard
1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Dash Garlic Powder
1 Dash Tabasco Habanero Sauce
1 Cup Water or Beer (Take Your Pick)

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan, cover and simmer for 45-60 minutes. The sauce will reduce and slightly thicken the longer it cooks. If you like spicy sauces, use a serrano pepper instead of the jalapeńo. If you prefer it milder, substitute regular Tabasco Sauce or Frank’s Hot Sauce for the hotter Tabasco Habanero Sauce. In my opinion, it tastes similar to Bull’s-Eye Original Barbecue Sauce with an extra added “kick” from the peppers and the beer. Apply it to meat and you’ll have BBQ heaven!
