Kevin's Side of the Dish

Lucky Dog Hot Sauce

Today, I am reviewing Lucky Dog Hot Sauce‘s Mild, Medium, and Hot sauces. Or Green, Red and Orange labels, in that order.

Lucky Dog Mild (Green) Hot Sauce

The first sauce I will now talk about is the Lucky Dog Mild Fire-Roasted Pepper Sauce.

Its ingredients are distilled vinegar, onions, roasted chile peppers, roasted garlic, water, carrot juice, chile peppers, sea salt, sugar, carrots, lime juice from concentrate, and dried chile peppers.

This sauce is not spicy at all to me, so I would give it a 0 out of 10 for its heat.

I would give it a 5 out of 5 because of how extremely interesting and flavorful it is. If you would eat it plain it would taste as if it would go good on vegetables; yet it is also really nice on chicken or other such meats. The sauce tastes like fresh veggies like peppers and onions and is a tiny bit salty. It looks greenish, and it’s runny, thin, smooth and smells like vegetables. I love it!

Lucky Dog Medium (Red) Hot Sauce

Next I will talk about the Lucky Dog Medium Fire-Roasted Pepper Sauce.

Its ingredients are apple cider vinegar, onions, roasted chile peppers, roasted garlic, water, carrot juice, chile peppers, sea salt, carrots, dried chile peppers, sugar, and lime juice from concentrate.

This sauce I would rate a 1 out of 10 for the heat level. The heat for this sauce slightly builds up and lingers for a couple minutes.

My overall rating is 4.5 out of 5. The sauce is brownish and it is thick, chunky, and smells again like vegetables. When you taste this, at first you get a giant spark of a
veggie-like flavor.

Lucky Dog Hot (Orange) Hot Sauce

Next I will talk about the Lucky Dog Hot Fire-Roasted Pepper Sauce.

Its ingredients are apple cider vinegar, onions, roasted chile peppers, roasted garlic, chile peppers, water, carrot juice, sugar, dried chile peppers, sea salt, carrots, and lime juice concentrate.

I would give a 4.5 out of 10 for the heat level. The heat for this sauce also lingers.

I would give this sauce a 5 out of 5 for the overall flavor because I personally like heat, but not too much. It was a good level for me. The sauce tastes like peppers, onions and carrots like the other two Lucky Dog hot sauces. It is a brownish-red color and is chunky, thick, and has a strong veggie smell. I love this sauce on my tacos.

These are some of my favorite hot sauces. I had to break into some of my dad’s supply because I like this on everything!
