At the most recent Houston Hot Sauce Festival, Puckerbutt Pepper Company owner Ed Currie had a small army of well-known chilehead folks sign several bottles of his I Dare You Stupit hot sauce.  Why? To raise money for the festival’s favorite charity, the Snowdrop Foundation, which funds research to eliminate childhood cancer and scholarships for college bound pediatric cancer patients and survivors.

Puckerbutt-for-Snowdrop-signed-bottlesWhose names are on the bottles, you may be asking? In addition to Ed Currie, some big names are on there, including John “CaJohn” Hard, CEO of CaJohn’s Fiery Foods; Chef Vic Clinco, owner of the world’s largest privately-owned hot sauce collection; Tim Bader, owner of Volcanic Peppers; Jim Duffy, owner of Refining Fire Chiles; Al “Buddah” Goldenberg, of I Love it Spicy, along with ILIS reviewer Fiber Joe Madrid. Also signing the bottles were James WreckTed Barrus, Brad Bishop, and Brannon Deobolt, aka Average Joe.

ALL the proceeds from the auctions will go to the Snowdrop Foundation for cancer patients.  So bid now and give generously! And if you know of other hot sauce collectors, please spread the word!
