What's the Mark of a Good Hot Sauce?
After immersing yourself into the world of hot sauces for a while, you'll find yourself quickly developing your preferences when it comes to flavor, food compatibility and spiciness. A while back, myself and numerous other famous chileheads ranked our favorite sauces.
But what are the noticeable signs that a particular product has got you hook, line and sinker? Here are several symptoms I can spot:
• When you carry a bottle of it around with you wherever you go.
• When you use half the bottle in one sitting.
• When you order it by the case.
• When you get withdrawal symthoms when you run out.
• When you prepare and cook meals specifically to use that sauce.
• When you think that Lay's slogan "no one can eat just one" should be modified and applied to any item or dish using this sauce.
• When 5 or 6 of your recipes just wouldn't be the same without this sauce.
What about you? What are some of the other signs you can spot?
