All documents have been submitted to Guinness and we hope to have something soon. Guinness has been an arduous and frustrating process. Personally, I feel strongly that Guinness should have TWO distinctly different category Champs. The one-off high number...like the Moruga one-off batch that tested at 2.0 Million that Mr John Doe gardener CANNOT and WILL NOT duplicate in his back yard grow. But it makes cool front page news. And then the SHU AVERAGE which the Carolina Reaper is easily the new Champ with an average of 1,474,000 SHU and the average Mr John Doe gardener CAN and WILL duplicate because Ed Currie kept the testing batches in an impressive tight range of only 200,000 SHU variance. Either way Ed has full documentation of all of these numbers and much more and will release it at the optimum time which I believe will be in September. If and when Guinness finally processes the documentation submitted, this should be front page news in our Chilehead community. With or without Guiness, full documentation on all testing numbers should be made public soon....we're just hoping it is with Guinness's support. Keep in mind, Guinness is a beer company that is for-profit. Our team knows that Guinness is a great credability enhancer (that's why we're continuing to pursue what has been a cumbersome process....after the Naga Viper our guess is they are being much more detailed in what they want, including calibration of machines used) , but Hot Peppers is not their expertise.
Anyway you look at it Scott, it's all good.
Pepper Joe
