Weekly Firecast Episode #2 - Ott's Honey Blackberry BBQ Sauce and Weekend of Fire Preview

The second episode of The Weekly Firecast is here! This time out I try out Ott's Honey Blackberry BBQ Sauce for the very first time. I sample some on a spoon on camera, and then reconvene a few minutes later with a pulled pork sandwich and some sauteed chicken breast chunks to see how the sauce fares on those. In another segment, I speak a few minutes about the Weekend of Fire hot sauce show. Also on the video I debut my Resource of the Week.

Great 2nd edition Scott. Still a little too much base, but I am sure you will work things out eventually. I love how you incorporated PeppersandMore and did a spoon review all in the same video. I am sure they will love the irony of that.

One more late entry to note for the show and that is Heartbreaking Dawns contest- "Ghost Pepper Brownie Brawl Buster. Quite a mouthful. Any rate, it is probably the hottest brownie around using the bhut jolokia pepper. This is a 3 stage timed brownie eating contest with the brownie getting hotter at every stage. This is a ILoveItSpicy sponsored event and will kick off on Sunday noontime. There is a $100 collectible listed as one of the prizes, but there is a lot more to win than that. We even have a trophy for ya!

The other event we are sponsoring is the forementioned Spicy PB & J Sammich Stackdown. This is the world's hottest peanut butter & jelly sandwich as far we know. Let's see how many you can eat and how much heat you can handle. We also have a trophy for this contest too.

If you wish to sign up ahead of the show and make sure you have a seat, please send me a message at Buddah@ILoveItSpicy.com before Thursday, and I will make sure you get a spot. As Scott said, this is the biggest blogger turnout of any event, and it is just fun. With all the contests out there, the chilehead in you should find at least one to participate in. The awards are well worth it.

Make sure you come out and say hi at the Blogger's Booth.

Nice job Scott - you may want to try re-positioning your mic - I think it's picking up vibrations from your throat when you talk, hence the bass and distortion.

Thanks guys for the positive comments.

Yeah, there are still some audio issues that need to be worked out, including the bassiness. I think a lot of that stems from it being a crappy mic.;-) I'm currently looking for a new and better one.
