Just the other night I gulped down a spoonful of Blair's Ultra Death Sauce, the hottest sauce in his Death Sauce lineup. This "20/20" version of the extract-based Ultra Death has is 20% hotter than the normal version (which is roughly 800,000 SHU on the Scoville Scale, therefore this may be pushing 900,000+ Scoville Heat Units of tongue-scalding capsaicin.

One last thing...if you've seen Darth Naga at one of ScottRobertsWeb.com's sister sites, ChileFoundry.co.uk, and were wondering if this video was done as a response to his consuming a teaspoon of Ultra Death on camera...well, yes and no. I had thought about doing a little stunt like this for a long time, but since he went through the ordeal without milk (as a challenge from James Beck) I figured it was time for me to have a go with it, too.

I applaud your fortitude. The hottest thing I've ever tried is a toothpick of Mad Dog 357, and that was like taking a knife to my tongue. The heat lasted about 20-25 minutes before starting to die down.

Woo! I can imagine how hot that is. I do have to give you a big kudos for that. I split a bhut jolokia with a friend once, and I wasn't even really able to talk much for a good 10 minutes. I've only had one of Blair's hot sauces, but I can attest to its awesomeness. I wish there were more chili heads where I live. It'd be neat to have a spicy pot luck, aha.

It makes you salivate doesn't it? About halfway through you started doing the same thing that I do - sucking your teeth to manage the salivation.

That's pretty brave Scott. I've not attempted that quantity of any sauce over 400,000 units and certainly not without some food or drink to dilute it.

And, thanks for one of the more informative and entertaining vids.
