Revisited for 2011: Hot Wings and Buffalo Wings - Here Are 15 Different Recipes You've Gotta Try

Chicken Wings Again - Buffalo and Hot WingsHere's a topic I think is worth revisiting annually (I first blogged about this in February 2008) - some great, mouth-watering recipes for chicken wings. Since Super Bowl is just around the corner, AND being inspired to post a wing-related article by HotSauceDaily.com's Brian Meagher (check out his excellent series "Week of Wings"), I've revisted the "15 Wings Recipes You've Gotta Try" post yet again.

No other food (with the possible exception of chili) can claim to be the staple of any American chilehead's diet quite like the spicy chicken wing. Here are 15 different links to sites with recipes for hot wings (breaded) and buffalo wings (unbreaded) that will increase your wing-making skills and expand your tastes...

Hey Scott, Some of these recipes are really cool. I am going to be trying the Taco Wing recipe this evening.

My biggest problem with hot wings is that I'm on a diet. It's so hard to find good recipes for foods I love that are also healthy (or at least, not un-healthy), and wings are at the top of the list of foods I know I should avoid.

I just thought I'd toss a link at you: http://www.laaloosh.com/2009/01/27/weight-watchers-buffalo-chicken-wings-re cipe/

It's a Weight Watchers recipe. Though I tend to replace the Frank's sauce myself (these are AWESOME with a Jolokia sauce), these are fantastic when I need to bring something to a party where I know people might be watching their figure.

some good sounding recipes there. I like my old trusty on the gas grill version. Mosy don't like wings on the grill but mine have an almost fried taste to them. I cook them on low for 15 miutes per side and then I turn the fire up to high and leave them in another 10 minutes. Bring the wings in and put them in tupperware containers, pour in my sauce of choice, shake them up and we're ready to eat. I've had people eat them and they had a hard time believing they were done on the grill.

Hudd, that sounds awesomely simple!
You've inspired me to go that route as soon as it warms up. I may even try to make the Adobo wings I saw on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. :)
