Is the UK is becoming the world’s hottest country, we seem to be getting an abundance of Super Hot Chillies being grown here, may be it the weather...
Well the latest beast to come from the UK is the Naga Viper, at 1,349,000 SHU’s it is a long way past our previous contender the Infinity Chilli. The Naga Viper has come from a well respected source of Chilli products Gerald Fowler of The Chill Pepper Company.
They are busy preparing to grow more of these super hot chillies over the winter with grow lamps in a heat green house, and Gerald has told us that he hopes to be selling seeds for next years season. I am sure there will be limited supply at first, so watch this space for more news as we get it!
Darth Naga’s video review this month was of the new Fire Foods Infinity Sauce which is based on their Infinity Chilli. I think the best thing to say it that he described it has MENTAL.

I also published one of my favourite recipes for a Dorset Naga and Tomato Chutney, which is a great was of preserving some of the excesses of this years crop.
We also had the UK’s last Chilli Festival here in the south west of England, the Wessex Chilli Festival. It is organised by Matt Simpson of Simpson’s Seeds, where they had a very interesting hot sauce competition where the visitors got to vote for the sauce they liked best.
