Bob Hope and Zombies
The above clip from the 1940 Bob Hope classic The Ghost Breakers remarkably still holds very true today (especially with the rise of the Obamabots).
World's Smallest Website
Have you ever seen the world's smallest website? At http://www.guimp.com, you can explore a real, functioning site contained within a 22 x 18 pixel block. There is a news section, a blog, games, a picture slideshow, and more. If your screen resolution's too low, you may have to use something to enlarge the size of the page (such as Microsoft's Magnifier) just to view it.
Recipe - Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeņo Poppers
For a delicious appetizer or snack, it's hard to beat the wide appeal of bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers. It's got kick from the jalapenos, crispiness from bacon, and a sweet, creamy, melty fusion of cheddar and cream cheese to balance out the taste...
Recipe Recap - Spicy Food
In case you've missed the spicy food recipes I've posted thus far on this food blog, below is a rundown. Each one is a must-try for chileheads or anyone who likes their meals with a little kick. I also plan on making new recipe additions as they get posted to the site in the future.
Create Perfectly Round Ice
Serious on the rocks drinkers prefer ice spheres due to their reduced surface area; the ice melts slower, meaning a less watered-down beverage. A Japanese company called Taisin [Google Translation page] has created a contraption that will create perfectly round balls of ice.
You place a chuck of ice inside Taisin's Ice Mold, and as the ice melts the press will close around it creating it's spherical shape. Extract the ice, and voila! I perfect, seamless ball. The Ice Mold can create 30 to 40 ice balls per minute.

What's the Difference Between Herbs and Spices?
Have you ever stopped to wonder what was the difference between herbs and spices? The Supreme Spice Blog provides a definative answer:
"A simple answer to this question would be that the leaf of a plant which is used in cooking is referred to as a Herb and any other part of the plant that is used to flavor food is termed as a Spice. For example - Cloves (bud), ginger & turmeric (roots), fennel, cumin, coriander (seeds), cinnamon (bark), peppercorns (berries) [would all be conidered spices].
Herbs are used fresh and spices are generally in dried form."

Eight Types of Annoying People at Starbucks
Not only do I hate Starbucks for the overrated, mediocre coffee they peddle at exorbitant prices, but for the assorted douchebags and morons who frequent the place. Holy Taco has a spot-on and hilarious assessment of these types of annoying people you can find at Starbucks.
Global Warming Skeptics Plan 'Carbon Belch Day' on June 12
Conservative grassroots group Grassfire.org have brilliantly planned a counter-offensive against junk science-spouting global warming fanatics by announcing "Carbon Belch Day". They want people worldwide to waste as much energy as possible this June 12th by "hosting a barbecue, going for a drive, watching television, leaving a few lights on, or even smoking a few cigars." Why? The group wants to "help Americans break free from the 'carbon footprint guilt' being imposed by Climate Alarmists."
You can do your part by pledging to join in the "belch" at the Official Carbon Belch Day website.
Penn and Teller Get Hippies to Sign Petition to Ban Water
This is a classic from Penn and Teller's Bullsh*t! show. They sent someone to an environmental rally to collect signatures to ban dihydrogen monoxide - in other words, H2O or water. You wouldn't believe how many brainless lefties fell hook, line and sinker for this, demonstrating once again how quickly they join movements without even bothering to investigate the facts.
Right Brain Vs. Left Brain - The Spinning Dancer
The Right Brain vs Left Brain Test ... do you see the dancer rotating clockwise or counter-clockwise?
If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice-versa.
Personally I saw the dancer turning clockwise, although I still consider myself more left-brained.
Life's Imponderables
If you've been on the internet longer than six months, then you've probably seen lists like these cluttering in your e-mail inboxes. Still, some of these are corkers and are worth reading again.
Did you ever stop and wonder......
Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?
Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are dead?
Why do banks charge a fee on "insufficient funds" when they know there is not enough?
Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?
Why do they call it a TV "set" when you only have one?
Why are there interstate highways in Hawaii?
Why is brassiere singular and panties...
Dave's Gourmet Adjustable Heat Hot Sauce
One of the coolest hot sauces to debut in the past few years has got to be Dave's Gourmet Adjustable Heat hot sauce. Adjustable Heat is bottled in a 7.1 oz container that allows you to change the spiciness of the sauce by turning the cap. The pump spray cap - similar to the homemade chili sauce mister I mentioned a few weeks back - mixes the ingredients from the two compartments (one containing the flavored portion and the other housing the heat mixture) of the bottle in different proportions. You can have a sauce that is mildly spicy to one that has a scorching heat...
Encrypt Your Gmail E-mail
Despite my grumblings about certain aspects of Google's Gmail service, I'm still a died-in-the-wool user. Gmail has the best overall features of any web-based mail client, which include unparalelled spam filtering and mail searching. Now you can add GPG encryption to your capabilities with Gmail, thanks to this handy little Instructables article...
2008: The Year The World Will Cool Down
Courtesy of The Daily Mail:
The world will experience global cooling this year, according a leading climate scientist.
The head of the World Meteorological Organisation said La Nina - the weather phenomenon which is cooling the Pacific - is likely to trigger a small drop in average global temperatures compared with last year.
The prediction - which follows a bitterly cold winter in China and the Arctic - is prompting some sceptics to question the theory of climate change...

The Billy Letters - Thirty-Something Man Poses As Ten-Year-Old And Writes To Convicted Killers And Other Celebrities
Back in the late 1990s, then-unemployed Bill Geerhart had a ingenious idea - he would pose as a 10-year-old boy and write to both the infamous and the famous. He requested from convicted killers such as Charles Manson, Richard Ramirez, and the Unabomber advice on whether or not he should stay in school. He asked Larry Flynt, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Alan Greenspan, and others for photos and a variety of questions, all from the viewpoint of young Billy. Most responded back, and the results are never less than entertaining. Courtesy of Radar Magazine, here are The Billy Letters.

How To Build A Chile Mister
Instructables has a short piece on how to build a spice mister - which is basically a small spray pump bottle filled with hot sauce. Less potent than a typical pepper spray that you would use for self defense or crowd control, this ingenious little bottle is for quickly applying hot chile pepper sauce or even capsaicin extract to a large area when cooking or eating.
